In August, 2007, Detroit Renaissance hired Jones Lang LaSalle, to further conceptualize the Aerotropolis. To that end, Jones Lang LaSalle over the course of nine months researched the land within the Aerotropolis and created a strategic development master plan that provides the parameters to bring the Aerotropolis from vision to reality.
TranslinkeD is the chamber’s vision to leverage the Detroit region’s assets into a global logistics hub for moving people, goods and ideas around the world. It is part of our economic development strategy to put southeast Michigan back on a path to prosperity. If we do this right, TranslinkeD has the potential to grow hundreds of thousands of new jobs and billions in investment for the Detroit region.

This project will implement peak hour, peak direction commuter rail service between the City of Howell and the City of Ann Arbor.
This is a three-year demonstration project to provide regional rail service in the Ann Arbor - Detroit corridor using existing infrastructure whenever possible. This includes using current Amtrak stations in Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Detroit (New Center) and adding locations in Ypsilanti and at Detroit Metro Airport.
